A running list of the tools I reach for. Inspired by uses.tech.

Making the explainers

  • Visualizations: hand-written SVG and <canvas>, driven by the site’s theme variables so every widget flips with light/dark mode.
  • This site: a custom static-site generator that turns Markdown into a linked digital garden. The interactive widgets are mounted from plain <div> placeholders dropped into Markdown.

Writing & thinking

  • Notes: a plain-text, Markdown-first vault, published straight to the web.
  • Diagrams: sketched by hand first, then rebuilt as code.

Design language

  • Type: DM Serif Display (headings), Bricolage Grotesque (body), JetBrains Mono (code).
  • Palette: a two-ink letterpress scheme, deep navy + vermilion on warm paper, inverted to a cyanotype at night.

Have a tool for building explorables you think I’d love? Let me know.
